The symposium will be the 8th in an international series started in Sheffield in 1993 and held most recently in Montreal (2007), Chengdu (2010) and Oxford (2013). This edition will take place in the monumental city of Brasilia, capital of Brazil. The symposium normally attracts key researchers in fretting fatigue from around the world and provides an opportunity for informal discussions as well as oral and poster sessions.

The conference will take place over four days, starting with a welcome reception on the afternoon of Sunday 17th April, and closure on Wednesday 20th April. The conference dinner will take place on Tuesday evening. Much of the conference will be run as a single session for oral presentations, but parallel sessions will be used when appropriate.
